In an effort to serve contributors and reviewers more efficiently and promptly, The Canadian Geographer / Le Géographe canadien changed over to online journal submission on 1 May 2009 for English language submissions for all fields except physical geography.  We began ramping up in early April and through the summer of 2009 we expect to manage two parallel systems as we wind down the former e-mail attachment submission with an indpendent database and convert all new submissions to the online system with an integrated database.  As we hope contributors and reviewers will understand, new informations technologies offer exciting and emancipating opportunities. But occasionally they impose exasperating learning challenges! There may be some bumps in the road as your editorial staff gradually learn how to exploit the full power of the online environment. We want to thank you in advance for your patience in this transitional period.
